Electric Lawn Mower Initiative
Gas powered lawn mowers emissions have not been regulated since the 1990's. According to statistics, one gas powered lawn mower can generate as much emissions as 10 new cars on the road. Electric Lawn Mowers have been out for years now and technology for them is lacking. If we can get an electric car to drive 150 kms on battery charge, surely we could make electric lawn mowers more efficient and less costly. Gas powered lawn mowers are not only bad for the environment, they also make bad neighbours. Imagine if all landscaping companies switched to electric equipment. I am sure mother nature would give us a big hug. If I won the money, I would invest in this initiative with a manufacturer and bring these products to market in London, ON. The introduction of all electric mowers and trimmers would decrease CO2 levels in our air significantly. London is considered the Forest City, we want to keep it that way. Thank you
