Commuter rail service PEI
In PEI everyone pretty near needs to drive to get to work/groceries/pleasure. I would like to see a high speed trains set up in PEI from tignish to souris and servicing all points in between. Why I feel this would be beneficial to PEI is it would eliminate alot of traffic on the roads and eliminate parking problems in downtown Charlottetown and Summerside and other cities it also would allow people to get some exercise walking to and from these terminals and being able to park at them. PEI also has the highest DUI rate in the country which isnt surprising as we don't offer any transportation other than a cab which is so pricy if you live out of town like for me I live 20 mins outside of town and they want 55.00+ one way and the public transit does not reach all points and they also dont keep the buses running late so you have not much of a option if you happen to be out having a few.
