Carpool Incentives
I have always thought some sort of carpooling incentive would be a great idea. We have people use parking passes in so many places, why not implement a parking pass for all the major highway carpool parking lots. People who carpool could scan their card on the way in and receive 1 point for carpooling, and the person who is driving the carpool could scan on their way out and receive 5 points because they are using their vehicle, gas, etc. I believe this would make more people want to carpool, keeping more cars parked which would help not only the environment but with traffic as well. It might even cause more people to start friendships, in turn builinding stronger communities because now carpooling gives back even more and becomes smart way to travel.
