Community Composting
I think it would be great to reserve an area in your community for composting, similar to the community garden idea. This would allow people in your community to drop off green items like food waste, lawn clippings etc... In addition, it would allow the community to use the byproducts, such as the compost for top soil and fertilizers for their garden or lawn. The by products could also be used for community gardens, as well as, for municipal planting needs and might save some costs for the community overall. As well, by doing this and making accessible this might lesson the burden on our waste removal services
