Windmill collection.
We all know that electricity is bad for the environment because it burns fossil fuels to keep going. I suggest having a contest that encourages people to save on their electric bills. At the end of every 4 months. People save their power bills and have to prove the amount they saved in that 4 months. The biggest savers will have their name put into a hat and 5 names will be chosen to have 200.00 paid towards their next power bill. We would have to show the average power usage per family of 4, 3 ,2 ect. This contest could go on until the 50k is gone. In the meanwhile we could but cans out all over HRM to raise funds for the next contest. It could be a continues thing. 200.00 could mean he difference between eating healthy, new school clothes or school supplies for a lot of families. Everybody wins.
