Early Education
As a Kindergarten teacher, I think it is never to early to educate people on the value of our Earth and how we can help protect it. In our classroom alone we recycle, make crafts out of recycled materials brought in from home, use both sides of the paper, re-use paper from the photocopier that still has one good side and turn off the lights to conserve electricity and to enjoy the natural light of the Sun. I also encourage my students to value and respect nature and we often go for class explorations outside and walk the Trans Canada Trail. By instilling these values at an early age, I feel that children will carry them with them throughout their lives and promote ways others can help maintain and preserve our world.
