Reduce Urban Speed Limits
The effect of reducing the speed of traffic in cities is well known where it has been implemented and virtually unknown where it hasn't! This one simple thing will have a profound effect on making cities greener. The increased perception of safety will result in greater outdoor interaction and increased walking and cycling. More walking & cycling results in less automobile use, reduced GHGs , a healthier population, reduced crashes and reduced overall cost to society.
