Tiny Houses
This is a movement that has just reintroduced itself to the world. The Europeans are now utilizing it as student housing. These tiny home vary in size from less than 100 sq feet to 800 sq ft. They are generally made from re claimed building materials. Most are being build to not utilize man made energy but rather by introducing a life style off the grid. This allows a better use of the individuals monies and definitely has less of an impact on Mother Earth. These homes can be place within communities or on land outside. They are versatile. An average budget for building one of these homes varies but can easily be done for 20-25,000 dollars. They are ideal for small family units and the elderly who are not in need of assisted living. They provide a sense of ownership and freedom to all Canadians and make the dream of owning a home attainable. We know we have many issues to face in today's world, issues such as lack of affordable housing, overuse of man made energies, negative impacts on the environment and the fact more and more people are choosing over priced living spaces rather than making healthy food choices. Unhealthy food choices also impact on our health care system. Not to mention re creating a sense of family and community. These units provide ample living space and meet the necessity of family living but promote the need to get out in our communities to share our life style choice living and having more free time to give back to our communities either via donation of time or monies. These homes promote the same sense of the early Canadian pioneers by with a new twist by becoming modernized and safe in construction. The idea of support to these homes is not so different than the design of the smart car itself. Both are created for the same purpose affordability and less impact on our planet. I have included two examples of tiny houses the first being made out of reclaimed materials and it's mobile and the second picture depicts the re use of storage containers.
Not to mention the tens of thousands of dollars most of us waste on taxes, home and contents insurance, maintenance, repairs, over sized lawns, etc. Save alot of money. Give yourself the gift of more time to spend on things you'd rather do.
