Backyard Biodiversity
$50 000 would cover the costs of creating 5 demonstration residential yards which display native plant diversity (for example sweet hay, echinacea, asters) in lieu of traditional lawns and ornamental gardens. These demontration backyards would act as the jumping off point for a private business in native plant landscaping services.
