A Tower Garden in Every School, Nursing Home, Group Home, Home for Unwed Mothers
I am a huge proponent of the vertical gardening concept, and I own a Tower Garden which I've installed in my dining room, next to my kitchen. I am an organic gardener, and I live a "green lifestyle", which is to say, I eat chiefly whole-foods consisting of vegetables not contaminated (where possible) with GMOs, herbicides and pesticides. I've been teaching this to children this summer, and given that nearly every school (or other social institution) has a sunny atrium or location on the premises, it would be to their ultimate benefit to install a Tower Garden, which I would provide through our company, Juice Plus*. It could be used as a curriculum tool to teach biology and botany, it can supplement produce for a food program, it uses up one-tenth the space of a garden, one-tenth the water, is easy to set up and maintain, even by children. There is no need to stoop to harvest the produce, no bugs or vermin to contend with, adds humidity to the environment, cleans the air. There is NOTHING not to like about having a grow tower where it can benefit people of ALL ages!
