Public produce at bus stops
Our City has an ongoing commitment to public produce, but finding suitable locations is a challenge. We also have a lot of bus stops. My suggestion is to establish public produce gardens at bus stops. People could tend to them (or pick a healthy snack!) as they wait for their bus. The scale could be as small as a few planter boxes, or as large as a boulevard "garden" where space permits. Water trucks already crisscross our city, filling reservoirs for boulevard plantings, etc, so infrastructure requirements should be minimal. Tomatoes for all!
