Food Forest AV-TOR
I am a graduate of York University and the one thought that has stuck with me since I have graduated is how much York's campus is lacking greenery. I find it to be full of pavement areas and very windy due to lack of trees. I have attended the Glenden Campus and it is beautiful with the greenery and landscaping. My idea would be to revamp and green up this campus such as making a local student run garden, plant trees around campus, landscape gardens around buildings, create even a food forest. The food forest would be such a benefit to our neighbour Pioneer Village which operates programs for children to learn about agriculture during the Pioneer times. A food forest would attract students attending that program to see what pioneers can harvest with our soil.
