The Toronto transit system for 3 dollars per fare (expensive) should provide free wifi in subways and streetcars. This would promote people to use the transit system more frequently and encourage people to work while on route to their destination.

Along the boardwalk on lakeshore wifi should be provided by the municipality so that pedestrians can enjoy free wifi to promote longer walks, and promote them to stay by the lake for longer periods of time.

My idea is for there to be solar powered traffic lights and pedestrian signals. There only needs to be one solar panel at each intersection and the wires can be connected to all lights and signals. In Toronto, there is sunlight throughout the year to power these traffic lights and signals. In the event that there is insufficient sunlight for that week, it can run off of the backup electricity that it has already been implemented for power outages. Each installation should not be too expensive and it can cover a large area for implementation.

As a pilot program I would start with the re-skinning of one old building in the downtown core. Re-skinning the building would consist of using reusable eco friendly materials to generate less energy in the long run for that buildings energy consumption.

I feel that there needs to be more trees planted in Toronto to absorb the carbon dioxide that gets released by the use of vehicles and energy that gets used. I would start in the downtown core, such as the financial district with very tall buildings that could really use more trees.

A shoe that generates and stores energy as you walk. Possible to use this energy to charge phones and small day to day uses.

Install electric generators in gym equipment such as bikes in spin classes, so that as people are exercising they are also generating energy.

Building lights at night are mostly turned on but unused, having them activated by sound only when people are around could cut down a lot of energy bills. This can also be extended into escalators where they only run when needed.

I can see a green roof from my window, and it's beautiful. I would work on initiating more green roofs, focusing on lower buildings surrounded by taller ones. They are not just nice to see, they cut costs, filter air, produce oxygen and if there is rooftop access, and green place to sit.

Eating less beef is the main idea. Cows secrete more CO2 than cars so by people eat less meat it'd cause less CO2 emission. People would be healthy and benefit the environtment.

I would like to put 50,000 towards advertising on increasing fines for littering. My theory is that if you increase the fines for littering, more people would be fearful of getting ticketed.

I would like to see an adult playground in my neighborhood. Celebration square in Mississauga is a huge community centre which attracts many people to hang out and enjoy the amenities. Why not create a space like that but bring the attention more focused on outdoors and that is adult oriented.
