If given 50,000 to implement my eco friendly idea I would divert grey water such as used shower water or sink water to flush toilets in the house. This would save thousands of litres of water.

Unknown to myself until recently, Plastic2Oil is already in operation in Waste Management. Already the Greater Edmonton Region recycles plastics, so processing the nonrecyclable plastics into fuel would be a no-brainer! There is an excellent youtube video on the innovator, a Japanese man named Akimori Ito. His vision is much greater: expanding this technology to the developing world can be revolutionary--a waste product becomes valuable!

If given 50,000 to implement my idea I would create rain water containers in my neighborhood. Rain water is free, does not have chloride, and can be used for the garden.

If given 50,000 to implement my eco friendly idea I would mark parking spaces on the residential street to accommodate and optimise residential parking. I live by the city airport where there is a lot of residential parking and bad park jobs. This idea would reduce people driving around trying to find spots and better the use of space. I would like to paint the lines where people can park and where they cant park (hydrant).

If given 50,000 to implement an eco friendly idea i would plant trees near the nearest stream/river/lake to bank the ground so that their is no erosion and to cool the water from the sun. This is the most efficient way to eliminate global warming.

If given 50,000 to implement an eco friendly idea i would get local companies to participate on earth day to plant trees on their land surrounding their companies. This would utilize the land surrounding huge companies and oxygenate the air.

If given 50,000 i would implement a neighborhood eco friendly team that would go around various neighborhoods and pick up litter. I am noticing in my neighborhood there is a lot of litter on the streets which of course depreciates the value of the neighborhood.

I'm from toronto and people there use their car just to go to the end of their block. Montreal is doing very good in regards to public transport but thee could always be improvement.

1. Tramway in Montreal 2. More local and organic fruit/vege markets 3. Pedestrian only zones 4. Stop taking down our trees.

When festivals take place in Montreal the organizers tend to use materials which are not Eco friendly and may only last a year or two. If they could spend some resources on acquiring Eco friendly materials that would be great and give a better image to their company or organization.

We need more electric vehicles, car pooling programs and rental agencies that rent only electric cars. This idea is slowly being implemented in Montreal but a bigger push is necessary in my personal opinion.
